It’s sleigh bother at all says CGC!
City Gate Construction knows how to dig deep to help others.
The business is the latest supporter to back the Paisley Daily Express Christmas Toy Appeal.
CGC based in MacDowall Street and currently Renfrewshire’s Employer of the Year has announced a sparkling early Christmas present for the appeal of £200.
CGC staff rushed out to a toy shop to buy £40 worth of building-themed toys reflecting the work CGC does locally as a major construction business.
The remaining £160 will be handed over to the Appeal so organisers can choose the most appropriate toys to buy.
Announcing the donation CGC Managing Director Leo Reilly said: “When we heard about the Paisley Daily Express Toy appeal we knew what we had to do.
“It was down to the toy shop to buy dumper trucks and cement mixers in keeping with our construction role. We hope the recipients of these and the other toys our money will buy will make it a happy Christmas for kids.
“This is a marvellous appeal which is in keeping with the Paisley Daily Express’s important campaigning role in the community.
“We all have a duty to tackle and defeat poverty wherever we find it and as a business we have always believed in helping the communities where we operate.
“It is absolutely unacceptable to us that families in need should go without the things that so many of us take for granted at Christmas.
“We wont let that happen and we salute the brilliant partnership that is the Salvation Army and the Paisley Daily Express. CGC is proud to be doing our bit.”
